The cinnamon plant has been developed in Indonesia for a long time and is one of the spices that has been a trading commodity in the Archipelago since ancient times. Cinnamon is almost spread throughout Indonesia, namely on the island of Sumatra (along the Bukit Barisan Mountains), Java (Magelang, Temanggung, and Wonosobo Regencies), and Kalimantan (along the ridge of the Meratus Mountains). However, the center of cinnamon production in Indonesia is in Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province.
